I posted long ago for Studio Thirty Plus a post about childhood dreams. Here is some of what I said about it.
“As a child I had an imagination that would never end. I would lose myself in fantasy lands; I think books had a large part in this. I would sometimes sit in our garden and wish, for hours on end, to see a faerie. Hours spent hoping that one would flit down onto my knee and strike up a conversation. I can’t tell you how many hummingbirds set my heart a flutter thinking that one had finally made it’s way to me…but no such luck. I also used to pray at night for imaginary friends, which is silly since I had younger sisters and plenty of real friends, but I longed for my imagination to actually come to life.”
After all these years, after all my longing and wishing, it finally happened. A faerie has found me!
Spring Faerie
This beautiful, whimsical, and much loved masterpiece comes to me all the way from Australia via the talented and generous hand of Mynx from Lizard Happy. I cannot thank her enough for the joy that she has brought to me! I cannot wait to get her framed and hang her in my room! If you follow Mynx then you know she creates wonderful works of art on an almost daily basis, essentially making me weep with envy because I have no talent when it comes to such mediums. You should run over and check out her other works.
I am overjoyed to have a Mynx original and that she was kind enough to not only paint but ship this lovely Spring Faerie over to me. I promise to always treasure it and her friendship! Thank you so much, dear!

Your fairy is absolutely gorgeous. I love Mynx and she truly is talented. Having a piece of her artwork is a gift that keeps on giving. Every time you look at it. (I have lizards on my wall). Your fairy truly is beautiful.
