February Ipsy Review 2014

February’s Ipsy bag came really late this month due to insane snow storms but I found the time to film it, as always, and here it is for you!

Zoya nail polish in Dot~ $9

I did try the polish on my nails while filming and it is such a light baby pink that is has little color, takes a few coats to cover my natural nail, and in general isn’t my color. That being said it is a GREAT polish and company but just not my shade.

IPKN Foundation in 02 Light~ $35 full size approx $4 sample

As stated it’s a very yellow based foundation and not one that I can pull over. There is a possibility that it may work in the summer but it’s still not cruelty free and I won’t purchase it. I doubt I’ll keep it around long enough to re-try it.

City Color Blush in Fresh Mellon~ $2.99

It’s a pretty color for spring and summer and over a slightly dewy or wetter foundation is did apply okay (though it would grab so you have to make sure you use a brush that won’t apply too much in one spot). I did try it out and it wore alright but it was a bit of a bitch to work with and I have other blushes I like a lot more, so this won’t be a go to for me.

Eyetini Shadow Tint in Ambrosia~ $18

This is, in fact, a sister product to the nailtini. I wore this as a solo color on my lid and sheered out into my crease. It is a gorgeous color, didn’t crease on me, and had great lasting power. That said it’s definitely pricey for what it is and I don’t think I would purchase more so I’m REALLY excited I got to try this color and product in an Ipsy bag.

Pop Beauty Gloss in Peony Petal~ Full size $16, Sample approx $7.50

I have worn this color a couple of times and I do like the color a lot. The consistency of the gloss is a little bit sticky for me but the staying power is great because of that. All in all I really do like it. I’ve been addicted to balm stains lately and I don’t see that trend fading for me but I will definitely be using this one, too.

Total Cost of the February Ipsy Bag~ $41.49

Overall this bag wasn’t bad. Despite not digging the color of the nail polish it’s still a great polish I can regift and other than the foundation sample I can use everything else…and everything else is cruelty free which makes me super happy.

    1. The ambrosia is stunning and I am really happy that I got it. How did you feel about the polish color? Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I love seeing what other people get. I was curious about the mask as well. I definitely didn’t mind not getting the human hair eyelashes–I got them before and my face was priceless. haha.
