February Ipsy Review 2014

February’s Ipsy bag came really late this month due to insane snow storms but I found the time to film it, as always, and here it is for you!

Zoya nail polish in Dot~ $9

I did try the polish on my nails while filming and it is such a light baby pink that is has little color, takes a few coats to cover my natural nail, and in general isn’t my color. That being said it is a GREAT polish and company but just not my shade.

IPKN Foundation in 02 Light~ $35 full size approx $4 sample

As stated it’s a very yellow based foundation and not one that I can pull over. There is a possibility that it may work in the summer but it’s still not cruelty free and I won’t purchase it. I doubt I’ll keep it around long enough to re-try it.

City Color Blush in Fresh Mellon~ $2.99

It’s a pretty color for spring and summer and over a slightly dewy or wetter foundation is did apply okay (though it would grab so you have to make sure you use a brush that won’t apply too much in one spot). I did try it out and it wore alright but it was a bit of a bitch to work with and I have other blushes I like a lot more, so this won’t be a go to for me.

Eyetini Shadow Tint in Ambrosia~ $18

This is, in fact, a sister product to the nailtini. I wore this as a solo color on my lid and sheered out into my crease. It is a gorgeous color, didn’t crease on me, and had great lasting power. That said it’s definitely pricey for what it is and I don’t think I would purchase more so I’m REALLY excited I got to try this color and product in an Ipsy bag.

Pop Beauty Gloss in Peony Petal~ Full size $16, Sample approx $7.50

I have worn this color a couple of times and I do like the color a lot. The consistency of the gloss is a little bit sticky for me but the staying power is great because of that. All in all I really do like it. I’ve been addicted to balm stains lately and I don’t see that trend fading for me but I will definitely be using this one, too.

Total Cost of the February Ipsy Bag~ $41.49

Overall this bag wasn’t bad. Despite not digging the color of the nail polish it’s still a great polish I can regift and other than the foundation sample I can use everything else…and everything else is cruelty free which makes me super happy.

Stay tuned next month for my March Ipsy Review and Unbagging.

    1. The ambrosia is stunning and I am really happy that I got it. How did you feel about the polish color? Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I love seeing what other people get. I was curious about the mask as well. I definitely didn’t mind not getting the human hair eyelashes–I got them before and my face was priceless. haha.
